Whenever a nation falls, there is almost always chaos. It's pretty safe to assume that the former nation's people are in disarray.Vitami wrote:well one nation is claiming that there is chaos while the other rejects such a claim

Re: [OOC] Discussion of National/International News
I really don't think it could have. Eurussia is at most a peripheral concern here. Honorias and Togana are in dispute over a Toganan military build-up in areas that Honorias considers sensitive. If Eurussia were actually here, it might have knocked us all around as a result, but the exact manner of its disappearance wouldn't have changed anything, I feel.
Regarding the chaos thing in particular: I don't reject the possibility of pirates around the world, but the exact circumstances of the pirate threat Togana provided made no sense if given a second look. If pirates were attacking "the second-largest shipping lane in the world," everyone would know about it, and everyone would be angry, not just Togana. If Togana had said that the pirates were actually attacking trade routes used primarily by Togana alone, none of this would have happened.
Also, as I said on the RMB, the exact locations of the pirate threat pointed out by Togana were just as threatening to Honorias as Togana's own islands, since they pretty much covered every entrance to the Huperzian Sea. Honorias would have had to know about that piracy already, but instead it remained silent about it. If I had said, "Oh, okay, thanks for telling me about these pirates," despite them being in a place where Honorias should have logically known about them already, it would have made Honorias look very suspicious to anyone who looked at that map. As I said already, agreeing to the pirate claim would have meant that Honorias was either run by idiots or run by criminals. Given the claim about the busy trade route, though, I didn't have to walk into that situation because the argument itself was flawed.

I guess the question will be down to will you two agree of the pirate claim exists but you don't find them THAT big of an issue, or they don't exist and this is a big dispute over who controls a valuable sea lane

Lack of authority creates unrest. Even in super power nations.Vitami wrote:Shockwave wrote:

Yes but the scale is different, lets say the us collapses it wouldn't just be the states that are affected, were as if Madagascar just collapsed the issues would just be the island populace
